Qatar's Minister of Interior Meets German Counterpart

Berlin, September 08, 2026 : Qatar's Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani met with Federal Minister of the Interior of the Federal Republic of Germany Alexander Dobrindt, during His Excellency's visit to Germany.

Security Cooperation, Mutual Interests Discussed

The meeting addressed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop it, with a particular focus on the security field, alongside a number of issues of mutual interest.

Letter of Intent Signed on Security Cooperation

Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force and his German counterpart signed a letter of intent between the two interior ministries, covering security cooperation in training and the exchange of expertise.
