Weightlifting Championship
Qatar national team achieved 13 colored medals (9 gold and 4 silver) on the closing day of the Men's West Asian Weightlifting Championship and 17th Men's and Women's Qatar Weightlifting Cup. The two were organized by the Qatar Weightlifting Federation simultaneously, over four days, with the participation of 100 weightlifters representing 15 countries.
In the final day's competitions, Qatar national team's weightlifters: Shayma Ragab, Menna Emad, and Wesal Khalaf shined in the weight of 87 kg and over 87 kg.
Shayma Rajab won 6 gold medals, three in the West Asian Championship and three in the Qatar Cup.

Menna Emad received 6 medals (two gold and 4 silver) by winning three silver medals in the West Asian Championship, and two golds and one silver medal in the Qatar Cup.
Wesal Khalaf succeeds in winning a gold in the Qatar Cup, after lifting the weight of 107 kg.
