Qatari supermarket Souq Al Baladi removes Swedish products from shelves

Souq Al Baladi announced that all Swedish products would not be sold in its branches due to a recent Quran desecration that took place in Sweden with permission from the Swedish police.

In a statement circulating social media, Al Baladi said that all Swedish products would be boycott “until further notice.”

Earlier this week, an individual was allowed to desecrate a copy of the Holy Quran outside the Iraqi embassy in Sweden.

The same individual had also desecrated a copy of the Quran last month, under the protection of and by permission from Swedish authorities.
