Qatar to host final stages of Gulf Club Champions League on 19 & 23 April 2026

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Association announced its approval for the city of Doha in Qatar, to host the final stages of the Gulf Club Champions League for the 2025/2026 season, after studying initial applications received from three clubs: Zakho (Iraq), Al Rayyan (Qatar), and Al Shabab (Saudi Arabia).

Al Rayyan of Qatar was tasked with hosting by virtue of its file being more complete than Zakho's, and for having a better ranking than Al Shabab, as it topped its group and gained more points compared to the second-place Al Shabab in its group according to the regulations of the tournament

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Association has approved them along with Khalifa International Stadium to host the matches, and set their timings in coordination with the Competitions Committee and the Marketing Department.

The two semi-final matches will be held on 19 April 2026. Khalifa International Stadium will host the first match at 5:00 PM between Zakho and Al-Shabab, while Ahmed bin Ali Stadium will host the second match at 8:00 PM between Al-Rayyan and Al-Qadisiyah. The competition will conclude with the final match on 23 April 2026, at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium at 6:45 PM.

The Gulf Football Federation expressed its determination to arrange the league's final rounds according to the highest technical and organizational standards in terms of the status of the Gulf championship and increasing its combat effectiveness, fulfilling aspirations of gulf fans. The Federation is also continuing to cooperate with the relevant authorities to ensure that this edition of the tournament is distinguished in a manner befitting the history of Gulf football and reflects an atmosphere of fair competition among participating clubs.
