The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, will host the 7th edition of the Theater Festival for Persons with Disabilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries from November 27 to December 3, coinciding with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is marked on December 3 each year.
The festival aims to integrate persons with disabilities into Gulf societies and raise the level of awareness of Gulf society about the talents and capabilities of people with disabilities, in addition to enhancing confidence in them and highlighting their talents and capabilities in the field of theater as well as providing them with the opportunity to present their issues in their own way within the framework of artistic work in order to integrate them into society.
GCC countries will present a theatrical performance during the festival.
The State of Qatar won three awards in the sixth edition of the GCC Theater Festival for Persons with Disabilities that was hosted by Saudi capital, Riyadh, in 2022.
The Theater Festival for Persons with Disabilities is held every two years and hosted by one of the GCC states.
