Riyadh, October 5, 2026 :Β The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Social Development and Family, is taking part in the second Global CSR Forum, held under the theme "From Commitment to Impact." The forum opened Monday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, bringing together ministers, officials, experts, and specialists in social responsibility.
HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi is representing Qatar at the two-day forum.
Qatar's participation reflects its commitment to strengthening the social responsibility ecosystem and promoting partnership and integration among the government, private, and non-profit sectors, in addition to facilitating the exchange of expertise, experience, and leading practices to maximize social impact and advance sustainable development.
The Minister took part in an international ministerial session titled "Promoting CSR at the Global Level," which examined the current state and evolution of social responsibility and the roles of various sectors in expanding its impact. The session also addressed key challenges, successful initiatives and experiences, incentives for private-sector participation, and the importance of national indicators in measuring progress and impact.
During the session, Al Nuaimi highlighted Qatar's experience in social responsibility, along with key national initiatives and efforts, particularly those aimed at fostering community engagement, embedding a culture of shared responsibility, and expanding cross-sector partnerships to support the State's social priorities and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. She noted that Qatar's participation also offers an opportunity to strengthen communication, exchange expertise with participating countries and entities, explore areas of mutual interest, and adopt successful practices that can further develop national initiatives and enhance their lasting impact on society.
The Ministry's participation further reflects its commitment to continuously developing the social responsibility ecosystem and promoting greater coordination among sectors, supporting effective, sustainable partnerships, advancing social priorities, and contributing to comprehensive development in Qatar.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Minister met with HE Minister of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkiye Mahinur Ozdemir. The two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation in social work and family affairs and exchanged views on ways to strengthen collaboration between their countries in these fields.
