Qatar Prime Minister Congratulates Singapore Counterpart on National Day

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, has sent a message of congratulations to Singapore Prime Minister HE Lawrence Wong on the occasion of Singapore’s National Day.

The congratulatory cable was sent as Singapore marked its national celebration on August 9, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).

Qatar Extends National Day Greetings

The message reflects the customary exchange of greetings between national leaders on important state occasions and comes as Singapore commemorates its National Day.

Singapore celebrates National Day on August 9 each year, marking the country’s independence in 1965.

Qatar Leadership Marks the Occasion

Qatar’s leadership also extended congratulations to Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam on the national occasion, with separate messages sent by HH the Amir and HH the Deputy Amir.

Qatar-Singapore Relations

Qatar and Singapore maintain diplomatic relations and cooperation across a range of fields. Official exchanges on national occasions form part of the continuing ties between the two countries.
