Qatar Participates in Solidarity with Ukrainian People Conference in Paris

The State of Qatar participated in the international conference for solidarity with Ukrainian people, organized by the French Republic in partnership with Ukraine in the French Capital, Paris, with the aim of responding to the urgent needs of Ukraine again, and provide immediate assistance to the Ukrainian people.

The State of Qatar was represented at the conference by HE the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani.

The conference was chaired by HE the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and HE the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who was represented by HE the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Anatoliyovych Shmyhal, in the presence of a number of senior officials.

The conference focused on 5 basic areas: energy, water, food, health and transportation, in order to enable the Ukrainian people to keep basic infrastructure running during the winter.

The State of Qatar's participation in this conference stems from its full readiness to contribute to any international and regional effort aimed at alleviating the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and is in line with its position supporting peaceful solutions through dialogue and mediation.
