The Organising Committee of Qatar's National Day Celebrations has announced the cancellation of this year’s National Day parade, which was initially scheduled for December 18, 2024. The Ministry of Culture confirmed the news via its social media channels on December 15, 2024.
Despite the cancellation of the parade, celebrations for Qatar National Day are still underway. A significant number of visitors are flocking to Darb Al Saai, where various activities and events are taking place to mark the occasion. This annual event, which celebrates Qatar's history, culture, and heritage, continues to attract a large public turnout.
National Day in Qatar is celebrated every year on December 18, symbolizing the day of the unification of the country under the leadership of the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani. While the parade won't take place this year, the festivities at Darb Al Saai are expected to remain a major highlight of the celebrations.
