Qatar’s Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, attended the graduation ceremony of several academic and professional programmes at the Police Academy, reaffirming the country’s commitment to developing highly qualified security personnel.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of students from the Police Academy’s College of Graduate Studies, who completed Master of Law and Master of Security Studies programmes.
It also marked the graduation of participants in the 11th mandatory qualifying course for graduates of civilian universities at the Police College, as well as the fourth mandatory qualifying course for female graduates of civilian universities at the Women’s Police Institute.
Honouring graduates
During the ceremony, HE Sheikh Khalifa honoured the graduates, recognising their academic achievements and readiness to contribute to Qatar’s security and public safety institutions.
The event highlighted the Police Academy’s continued role in preparing highly skilled officers through advanced academic education and specialised professional training.
New Police Academy website launched
On the sidelines of the convocation, the Minister officially launched the Police Academy’s new website, a step aimed at enhancing the academy’s digital services and improving access to information and online platforms for students, staff and the public.
The new platform forms part of the Ministry of Interior’s broader digital transformation efforts to modernise services and strengthen institutional efficiency.
Strengthening Qatar’s security capabilities
The Police Academy continues to play a central role in developing Qatar’s future law enforcement leaders by combining academic excellence with practical training.
The latest graduation ceremony reflects Qatar’s ongoing investment in human capital and its commitment to building a modern, professional and technologically advanced security sector capable of meeting evolving national and international challenges.
