Humanitarian aid
Qatar and France conducted a joint humanitarian operation on Dec. 2, 2021. This joint operation enabled the two countries to send 40 metric tonnes of medical assistance, winter and food supplies to international organizations in Afghanistan.
The French assistance, which consisted mainly of medical equipment intended for the Medical Institute for Mothers and Children in Kabul, was channeled to Afghanistan onboard a military flight, coordinated by Qatar.
This joint operation is an embodiment of the longstanding partnership and strong cooperation between Qatar and France, as well as the commitment of our two countries to stand by the Afghan people.
Qatar and France will continue their close coordination to help improve the humanitarian conditions and enhance stability in Afghanistan through the exclusive support of the civil society and international organizations.
