Qatar and Five Arab Nations Unite to Condemn Iran’s Direct and Proxy Attacks

The State of Qatar, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan have renewed their condemnation of Iranian attacks across the region.

In a joint statement, the six nations described these actions as flagrant violations of sovereignty, territorial integrity, international law, humanitarian law, and the Charter of the United Nations. They highlighted assaults carried out by armed factions loyal to Iran from Iraqi territory against neighboring states, stressing that such acts breach international conventions and directly violate United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2817 (2026).

The resolution explicitly demands that Iran immediately and unconditionally cease attacks and threats against neighboring countries, including through the use of proxies.

While reaffirming their fraternal ties with the Republic of Iraq, the six nations called on the Iraqi government to take urgent measures to halt attacks launched by militias and armed groups from its territory. The statement emphasized that decisive action is necessary to preserve brotherly relations, safeguard regional stability, and prevent further escalation.

The countries also reaffirmed their right to self‑defense and praised the efforts of security forces in countering threats and protecting national interests.
