Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will be a holiday for all public and private schools in Qatar.
The decision, shared via the Ministry's social media channels, applies to all students, teachers, and administrative staff in school settings.
This holiday aims to encourage and facilitate citizen participation in the upcoming 2024 constitutional amendment referendum, focusing on eligible voters aged 18 and above.
However, the Ministry clarified that this directive does not extend to universities and other higher education institutions, which will continue normal operations on that day.
