Qatar Condemns Israeli Forces Storming of UNRWA Training Center in East Jerusalem

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation forces' storming of the Qalandiya Training Center operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in occupied East Jerusalem, describing the act as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a direct challenge to international will.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Doha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that Israel's repeated and systematic targeting of UNRWA is part of a deliberate strategy aimed at dismantling the agency entirely and stripping millions of Palestinian refugees of the essential services they depend on. Those affected span not only Gaza and the West Bank but also Palestinian communities in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon — making the stakes of this assault on UNRWA far wider than a single incident.

Qatar called on the international community to step up and fulfil its responsibilities without delay, demanding immediate action to protect UNRWA facilities and a firm collective response to Israel's illegal actions before their consequences become irreversible.

The Ministry reiterated Qatar's unwavering and full support for UNRWA, rooted in the country's consistent and longstanding position backing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people — foremost among them their right to establish an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
