Qatar Condemns Israeli Defense Minister's Illegal Entry Into Syrian Territory

Qatar has issued a strong condemnation of Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz's unauthorised entry into Syrian territory, describing the act as a direct violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity and a brazen disregard for internationally recognised borders.

In a statement released on Monday in Doha, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take swift and decisive action to compel Israel to respect international legitimacy, most notably the 1974 ceasefire agreement, and to bring an end to what Qatar described as repeated Israeli aggression on Syrian soil.

Qatar warned that continued incursions of this nature risk deepening instability and fuelling further tension across an already fragile region, urging all parties to prioritise de-escalation and the rule of international law.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's unwavering commitment to Syria's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, while expressing firm support for the Syrian people's right to build a future defined by security, stability and prosperity.
