Qatar Airways expands Saudi Arabia service with resumption of flights to Qassim, Taif, Tabuk & Yanbu

Qatar Airways is expanding its operations in Saudi Arabia with the resumption of flights to four destinations during the 2026–27 winter season.

Services to Qassim, Taif, Yanbu and Tabuk will return between October 2026 and January 2027, giving passengers across the Kingdom more travel options and access to Qatar Airways’ global network of more than 160 destinations.

Four Saudi Routes to Resume

The airline will operate two weekly flights on each resumed route:

Qassim (ELQ): Resumes October 25, 2026
Taif (TIF): Resumes October 31, 2026
Yanbu (YNB): Resumes January 2, 2027
Tabuk (TUU): Resumes January 3, 2027
The expanded services will strengthen connections between Saudi Arabia and Qatar Airways’ hub at Hamad International Airport in Doha.

More Than 155 Weekly Flights to Saudi Arabia

As part of its continued expansion in the Saudi market, Qatar Airways will operate more than 155 weekly flights to the Kingdom this winter.

This represents an increase of more than 10% compared with the summer season, highlighting the airline’s focus on strengthening regional connectivity.

Over the past 12 months, Qatar Airways has carried more than 2.3 million passengers between Saudi Arabia and destinations across its global network.

Riyadh Flights Increased

Qatar Airways has also increased services on key Saudi routes.

In June 2026, the airline increased its Riyadh service from 35 to 49 weekly flights, giving passengers greater flexibility and more connection options through Doha.

The increase reflects strong demand for Qatar Airways’ services across the Saudi market.

Starlink Wi-Fi Available on Selected Saudi Routes

Passengers travelling on some of the airline’s busiest Saudi routes can also benefit from its next-generation onboard connectivity.

Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam are regularly served by widebody aircraft equipped with Starlink, providing complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi from gate to gate on eligible flights.

In July 2026 alone, Qatar Airways operated more than 685 Starlink-equipped flights across these three routes.

Flights to Qassim (ELQ) will resume on October 25, 2026, initially operating every Sunday.

Qatar Airways Expands Saudi Network

With the four route resumes, Qatar Airways’ Saudi Arabian network will include Abha, AlUla, Qassim, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, The Red Sea and Yanbu.

Services to NEOM are also scheduled to resume in the second half of 2027.

Bookings Now Open

Bookings for the resumed services are now available through Qatar Airways’ website and mobile app.

Passengers can also benefit from Qatar Airways Privilege Club, including the ability to earn and redeem Avios for upgrades, shopping and dining at Qatar Duty Free, additional baggage and other benefits.
