Consolidated Qatari International Airlines Group led by Qatar Airways has reported an incredible post-tax profit of QR 7.08 billion (US$1.94 billion) in its 2025/26 fiscal year, overcoming the challenges that geopolitical and operational dynamics pose to a global aviation sector.
The airline group absorbed its annual results for May 20, showcasing ongoing growth, operational resilience and shrinking global connectivity. The company claimed passenger and cargo operations were "driven by significant geopolitical developments" in the last month of the financial year, yet still delivered robust results overall.
In the 2025/26 financial year, Qatar Airways flew over 41.8 million from its worldwide network, cementing Hamad International Airport's place as a leading global gateway for air travel and tourism.
Its cargo branch also performed effectively, carrying greater than 1.43 million tonnes of chargeable cargo. Qatar Airways Cargo continued to solidify its position as the worldâs largest air freight carrier once again contributing 12 percent of global cargo market share.
Operational efficiency continued to remain the third major highlight for the airline. Qatar Airways came in fifth place among the world s most on-time carriers, with an on-time performance rate of 86 percent. The airline, too, recently received the Cirium Platinum Award for Operational Excellence, which recognizes global industry leaders in operational performance and reliability.
In planning its growth into international markets in years to come, the airline said it will remain focused on innovation, premium passenger experiences and prudent growth.
