The ninth Omani-Bahraini Products Exhibition has opened in Salalah, bringing together small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Oman and Bahrain in a move aimed at strengthening bilateral trade, investment and business partnerships between the two countries.
Organised by the Omani-Bahraini Friendship Association in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Sultanate of Oman, the eight-day exhibition serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products, connect with customers and explore new commercial opportunities.
Supporting SMEs and bilateral trade
The exhibition seeks to empower SMEs by providing direct access to consumers while encouraging collaboration between Omani and Bahraini businesses.
Organisers said the event is designed to foster trade and investment partnerships, create new marketing channels and contribute to expanding commercial exchange between the two Gulf neighbours.
Showcasing local products
Around 30 Omani SMEs are taking part in the exhibition, displaying a diverse range of products, including:
• Traditional fashion and clothing
• Perfumes and incense
• Omani frankincense
• Omani halwa
• Accessories
• Heritage and handicraft products
• Household items
Platform for knowledge exchange
Beyond product displays, the exhibition provides entrepreneurs with opportunities to exchange expertise in production, marketing and business management while learning from successful experiences and exploring new markets.
Officials said the initiative reflects the strong economic ties between Oman and Bahrain and supports the continued growth of the SME sector in both countries.
Held during the popular Khareef Dhofar season, the exhibition is expected to attract large numbers of visitors to Salalah, offering local businesses greater exposure while reinforcing the longstanding economic and cultural partnership between Oman and Bahrain.
