Northwestern Qatar Opens "Marshmallow Laser Feast" Exhibition

Doha, October 5, 2026 : The Media Majlis Museum at Northwestern University in Qatar has launched its Fall 2026 exhibition, "All That Is Unseen," in partnership with ACMI, Australia's national museum of screen culture.

Running through January 21, 2027, the exhibition features works by the London-based international art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast, marking the group's first exhibition in Qatar and the wider region.

The immersive show brings together research-driven installations, film projections, and live performances to explore natural dimensions beyond ordinary human perception.

It includes creative contributions from filmmaker Terrence Malick, the late producer Edward R. Pressman, Cate Blanchett, Daisy Lafarge, Jon Hopkins, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Meredith Monk, Howard Skempton, and Jonny Greenwood.

Marwan M. Kraidy, Dean and CEO of Northwestern Qatar, said the collaboration between the Media Majlis Museum and ACMI brings together stories, histories, and perspectives across continents, inviting audiences in Doha to reflect on how media shape the ways people see themselves and one another.

Representatives from both ACMI and Marshmallow Laser Feast expressed enthusiasm about bringing the exhibition to the region, following earlier runs in Melbourne and at New Zealand's national museum, Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington.
