Islamic Affairs Ministry
The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, established 14 new study circles to teach Quran recitation at some of its Quran learning centers throughout different parts of the country. This initiative is part of its efforts to promote the teaching of the Holy Quran and the spread of a culture caring for it.
The ministry added that the initiative comes as part of its strategic plans, which aims to promote Quranic programs and to create opportunities for all segments of society to participate in recitation and tajweed classes based on a sound scientific methodology and under the supervision of qualified instructors.
It said the new circles were distributed across many Quran centers that were located in mosques and scattered around some areas of the Kingdom, including:
Ibn Atiyah Center in Abal Heeran
Al Sibtain Center in Rawdat Al Hamama
Usaid bin Hudair Center in Rawdat Al Hamama
Abu Jaafar Center in Al Thumama
Imam Khallad Center in South Al Duhail
Saad bin Zaid Center in Leabaib
Ubadah bin Al-Samit Center in Leabaib
Mohammed Nasser Al Jafali Al Nuaimi Center in Leabaib
Sufyan Al Thawri Center in Al Ghanim Al Jadeed
Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem Center in Al Wajba
Suhaib Al Rumi Center in Al Wakra
Abdullah bin Khabbab Center in Al Wakra
Amr bin Al Aas Center in Al Themaid
Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah Center in Rawdat Al Jahhanniya
According to the Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance, a circle is conducted four days a week (Sunday–Wednesday) between Maghrib and Isha prayers that allows ease in enrollment and promotes attendance.
Registration was available directly at the centers during the sessions, and those interested have been invited to enroll or for more information contact 16577, according to the department.
This held part of an integrated perspective through which the ministry endeavored to further enhance the role of the Holy Quran in people's lives and society, instill Islamic values, as well as breed a generation who masters reciting it. It also highlighted that it will work towards increasing the number of circles and Quran centers across Pakistan to meet the rising demand for Quran education.
