New Hotels in Qatar-2022

As the World Cup draws near, the skyline of Qatar is seeing some major changes as a number of luxury hotels and resorts open up in various parts of the capital city. The country is all set to provide the best quality entertainment and comfort to all its international visitors, offering world-class cuisines. From lavish tents on the beach to 5-star suites overlooking the corniche, here are some of the top hotels to look out for this year.

FAIRMONT AND RAFFLES DOHA

The iconic Katara Towers in Lusail, which symbolize the traditional scimitar swords shown on Qatar's national seal, are symbolically linked to the country's history. The 200m structure has been the most eye-catching landmark in the area and is soon to open to the public with two dual-branded hotels by Accor, one in each tower.
Five-star Fairmont Doha will occupy one tower and have 361 rooms, while “six-star” Raffles Doha will take the other, with 132 rooms and suites.
With unobstructed views of the Arabian Gulf, both brands will participate in Accor’s All Live Limitless program. Raffles includes a cigar bar, a movie theater, and 49 apartments under its brand, while Fairmont proclaims a commitment to “360 well-being.”

ANDAZ DOHA

The newest addition to the Hyatt hotels in Doha, the Andaz Doha is set to open in autumn 2022 in proximity to many of the major shopping malls and financial hubs in the city.
Andaz, translating to “Personal Style” in Hindi, is true to its name with the architectural design of the hotel being a unique mix of the city’s defining heritage and new innovation. The hotel will feature some intricate Hand-crafted local work and luxurious polychromatic patterns of wood, metal, and stone.
Andaz Doha will be located in the prime West Bay area and will present the best of local and international cuisine, with restaurants “Salt Road’ and “Mr. & Mrs. Hawker” highlighting flavors all the way from South Africa to Singapore.
The hotel will have 318 rooms, many with fantastic views of the sea, a sizable pool, a fully equipped fitness center open around-the-clock, and a spa offering eastern hammam treatments.

RIXOS QETAIFAN ISLAND NORTH DOHA

One of Doha's most ambitious projects now underway, Qetaifan Island North will eventually house Qatar's largest waterparks.
The Rixos Qetaifan Island North Doha will have a lot to offer guests of all ages, including the fully supervised Rixy Kids Club for young kids and a private sports club where visitors will have access to professional trainers and cutting-edge equipment for CrossFit, TRX, spinning classes, and more.
A variety of therapies, including a traditional Turkish hammam, are available at the relaxing NatureLife spa. The largest water park in the nation, Meryal, will open nearby later this year. The exhilarating 85-meter-tall Icon Tower waterside, promoted as the biggest in the world, is located in the adventure water park with a Qatari theme. Football lovers can also attend the island's specially created Qetai-Fan Beach Fest. There will be football-themed activities, food and drink options, entertainment, live music, and more available for the fans there every day during the tournament.

RIXOS GULF HOTEL DOHA

The Rixos Gulf Hotel will be Qatar's first all-inclusive luxury beach resort and will be situated on a private stretch of beachfront that was formerly the site of the nation's first five-star hotel. With a ton of entertainment, sports, kid's activities, and spa experiences to choose from, the hotel is ideal for families.
The hotel has seven restaurants and bars to select from, including the Rustic Farmhouse and Mr. Tailor Steakhouse, and rooms provide views of the Doha skyline and the nearby coastline. The Rixy Kids Club ensures that children are amused throughout their visit, giving adults plenty of opportunities to unwind and relax.

THE CHEDI KATARA HOTEL AND RESORT

The critically acclaimed portfolio of luxury hotels owned by General Hotel Management Ltd (GHM), which currently includes The Chedi Muscat, Oman, and The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah in the UAE, will soon expand with the inauguration of The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha. The seaside resort will have 32 villas in addition to 59 rooms and suites, along with extraordinary world-class culinary options.
One of GHM's most highly anticipated luxury resort projects to date, The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort in Doha will introduce the brand to Qatar and is scheduled to open in the second half of 2022. It is perfectly located on the seashore of the famous 100-hectare Katara Cultural Village neighborhood, where theaters, concert halls, exhibition galleries, mosques, restaurants, stores, a park, and an open amphitheater are all within walking distance.
The hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, a cigar lounge, and a lobby lounge with 180-degree views of the ocean, and is designed to pay tribute to Indian Mughal architecture. The best part of it all is that the Chedi Katara will also feature a stand-alone beach club!

THE ST REGIS MARSA ARABIA ISLAND

If you are looking for island views and a dash of luxury, the soon-to-open St Regis hotel in Qatar is one to take into consideration. The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, which is a part of the city's renowned, artificial The Pearl neighborhood, has 87 residential units perfect for families or long-stay visitors.
The high quality of service that St Regis is renowned for, including the brand's distinctive butler service, can be expected from guests who book a stay here.
Visitors will have access to eight swimming pools, various dining options, and a kids' club, all of which showcase Arabic interior decor, and guests can collect and redeem Marriott Bonvoy points.
The expansive hotel offers 193 rooms and suites, many of which have balconies that overlook the ocean, in addition to numerous outdoor swimming pools, a cutting-edge fitness center, and the first Clinique La Prairie Medical Spa in the area.
The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island Hotel’s remarkable architecture was influenced by Andalusian and Arabesque styles and its ten dining options include the Turkish contemporary restaurant Nar, Italian fine dining at Roberto's, and Japanese-Peruvian fusion at Chotto Matte.

LE ROYAL MERIDIEN DOHA

One of the two hotels attached to the Place Vendome mall, the Le Royal Meridien Doha opened earlier this year. There are 377 rooms, suites, and condos in this hotel, and thanks to their indoor connection, you could get out of bed and head straight to Place Vendôme mall whenever you choose.
The hotel's neo-classical structure exudes timeless chic aesthetics, and its design incorporates creative reinterpretations of Qatar's incredible history of pearl diving.
Guests can stay in style and enjoy a variety of unique restaurants, including an Italian concept created by Michelin-rated Chef David Myers. Located in the center of Qatar's developing future city- Lusail, the hotel also accommodates large gatherings in its 1,033 square meters of versatile indoor conference space called The Grand Ballroom with 750 seats.
