Nawaf Salam was named Lebanon's Prime Minister-designate following the binding parliamentary consultations conducted by the country's President Joseph Aoun.
Salam received the votes of 85 members of parliament, whereas nine others voted for Najib Mikati, while 34 members did not give any nominations.
