Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation
The Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF)'s General Assembly has reelected HE Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi as President of QTSBF by acclamation for a new four-year term, in addition to renewing confidence in Tariq Zainal, after being elected as QTSBF's Secretary-General by acclamation.
Additionally, the General Assembly re-elected the members of the QTSBFs Board of Directors by acclamation, namely HE Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Khalid Al Khelaifi, Yusuf Al Obaidli, Mohammed Al Subaie, and Karim Al Aalami during its meeting held Saturday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha, chaired by HE President of QTSBF Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, with the presence of the QTSBF's Secretary-General and the esteemed members of the Board of Directors.
HE Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi thanked the members of the General Assembly for renewing confidence in him for a new term and the Qatari Olympic Committee for supporting the QTSBF, emphasizing that all will diligently work to advance diverse sports under the QTSBF's umbrella, and support Qatari athletes, in addition to building on the milestones made in both the domestic and international arenas over the past years.
Many incredible milestones have been made throughout the past years, but the work has not ended yet. The steadfast commitment should continue to advance the tennis, squash, padel, and badminton toward new stages of success at both domestic and global levels, in addition to advancing the society, said HE Al Khelaifi.
For his part, Tariq Zainal affirmed that during the past period, the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel, and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) has achieved myriad successes under the presidency of HE Nasser bin Ghanim Al Khelaifi, reflecting the collective efforts and teamwork. He emphasized that the QTSBF remains steadfast in its commitment to charge ahead with promoting all these sports through innovative programmes, in addition to supporting Qatari athletes in their journey toward professionalism and global success.
The agenda of the meeting endorsed the minutes of the previous meeting and presented the achievements and events organized by QTSBF in 2023, along with the objectives of the coming period.
