MoI impounds vehicle
A video from the Ministry displayed a vehicle recklessly drifting on a Qatar public road, causing an accident. The driver, who fled the scene, was later apprehended and referred to Public Prosecution. A court ruling ordered the vehicle's confiscation. The Ministry released footage of the impounded vehicle being fed into a hammer mill shredder.
The Ministry emphasized that reckless driving, speeding, and racing on roads without permission are prohibited by traffic laws, endangering lives. Violations may result in imprisonment (1-3 years) and fines (10,000-50,000 riyals). The Ministry vowed to take firm action against those breaking the country's laws and regulations.
