Ministry to Open Private Women-Only Beach in Qatar

Al Shamal beach

Al Shamal Municipality, in cooperation with the Natural Reserves Department of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, has identified a strip of beach in Al-Mamlha (Al-Ghariya) area for women to exclusively enjoy the beach experience. 

Sprawling over 15,000 square metres, the private women-only beach will be fenced on all sides with entry regulated through specially-built entrances to ensure adequate privacy and security. The beach will also have barbecue spots, tables and chairs.

Work is currently underway to have the beach ready and open to women soon.
