The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that some key public health activities will continue during the period of national mourning following the death of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.


In a statement, the ministry said that certain departments will remain open to help the public with amended working hours in order for there to be no disruption in vital healthcare services.


Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad


The Department of Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad will operate on:


Tuesday and Thursday
9:00 am to 12:00 pm


Newborn Registration Services


The MoPH Newborn Registration Office at the Women's Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) will continue to remain operational while a mourning period is observed.


Working Hours:


8:00 am to 12:00 pm


Unified Humanitarian Services Office


The Unified Humanitarian Services Office will continue providing services in two daily shifts:


Morning: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Evening: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm


Public Advised to Follow Updated Timings


The Ministry of Public Health urged the public to note the adjusted service hours while maintaining that health services and humanitarian aid will continue to be available throughout the national mourning period.
