Qatar Ministry of Labour

The Qatar Ministry of Labour has issued a public warning on September 1, 2026, urging residents to remain cautious of advertisements posted by fraudulent domestic worker recruitment agencies.

Ministry Warns Against Fake Recruitment Agencies

The ministry said scammers may use fake advertisements and falsely present themselves as authorised recruitment agencies to offer domestic worker recruitment services that have not been approved.

Members of the public are advised to exercise caution and avoid responding to suspicious advertisements or dealing with agencies whose credentials cannot be verified.

Check Authorised Recruitment Agencies

The Ministry of Labour urged the public to verify the source of any recruitment advertisement before taking action.

Residents should also check the ministry’s official list of registered and authorised domestic worker recruitment agencies to confirm whether an agency is legally approved to provide recruitment services.

Public Urged to Stay Vigilant

The warning highlights the importance of verifying recruitment agencies before sharing personal information, making payments or proceeding with any domestic worker recruitment arrangements.

The ministry’s latest advisory aims to protect the public from fraudulent practices and ensure that recruitment services are obtained only through authorised agencies.
