The Ministry of Labour, represented by the Department of Qualifying and Skills Development, in cooperation with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QCPA), on Thursday organised a training course in the field of accounting, entitled "Practical Cases of Internal Audit", to raise their accounting capabilities and introduce them to the practical experiences of internal auditing in preparation for their entry into the private sector labour market. The course targeted Qatari graduates and children of Qatari women.
The training course is part of the Ministry of Labour's strategy for an effective and highly productive workforce and the objectives of the Nationalisation Law in the private sector, by qualifying the national workforce, preparing them to meet the nationalisation targets, raising their competitiveness, and increasing the proportion of highly skilled Qataris and children of Qataris women in the labour market.
During the training course, trainees learned how to apply the principles and methods of internal auditing in real work environments, including practical case studies on how to identify financial and administrative risks in organisations, how to evaluate financial performance and operational processes, in addition to providing them with the professional, technical and practical knowledge needed to meet the needs of the labour market in this vital field.
During the course, trainees were introduced to the tools used in internal auditing, such as examining financial procedures and records, statistical analysis, and preparing audit reports, in addition to reviewing real situations they may face in the private sector, which enhances their abilities to make appropriate financial decisions based on actual data, and qualifies them to apply this knowledge in their future jobs.
The training course supports the Ministry of Labour's efforts to achieve the targets of the Nationalisation Law in the private sector, increase the percentage of Qataris working in the sector, develop national cadres and competencies, improve their professional readiness and competitiveness in the labour market, and enhance their productivity, in accordance with the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision 2030.
