Ministry of Labour declares 3-day, paid Eid Al Fitr 2026 holiday for private sector employees

The Ministry of Labour on platform X said that employees working for private sector establishments subject to the provisions of the Labour Law shall be entitled to a paid holiday valid for three days in accordance with the due observance of Eid Al Fitr.

As per the ministry's statement, for those employees who may be required to work during the holiday period, provisions regarding overtime hours and overtime compensation as indicated in Article (74) of the Labour Law will apply.

The Ministry also expresses its heartfelt congratulations and blessings on this precious occasion, asking Allah to bring this blessed time back upon all with goodness and prosperity.
