Ministry of Endowments Organizes ‘Knowledge Integration

Qatar’s Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has organised a symposium on “Knowledge Integration,” bringing together academics and researchers to discuss how legal, human and social sciences can work together to strengthen contemporary Islamic thought and civilizational awareness.

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, through its Department of Research and Islamic Studies, organised the “Knowledge Integration” symposium in coordination with Qatar University’s Ibn Khaldoun Center for Humanities and Social Sciences.

The event was held in the presence of HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem.

The symposium was held under the theme “Knowledge Integration as the Basis of Islamic Renaissance.”

Director of the Department of Research and Islamic Studies Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Thani said the event focused on bringing together legal, human and social sciences in order to develop a renewed understanding of civilisation and contemporary challenges.

The concept of knowledge integration encourages academics to move beyond studying individual disciplines in isolation and instead examine how different fields can complement one another.

Multidisciplinary Approaches Needed for Modern Challenges

Director of the Ibn Khaldoun Center Prof. Dr. Badrane Benlahcene stressed that many of today’s complex challenges cannot be adequately understood through a single academic discipline.
