The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), in partnership with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and the Ministry of Labor, has started interviews for students applying for university scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025. These interviews involve authorities from both public and private sectors.

Running until mid-August, the main goal of the interviews is to introduce scholarship students to potential employers and align the scholarship process with market needs.

Noura Mohamed Al Ansari, Acting Director of the Scholarships Department at MoEHE, stated that these interviews are designed to support students. MoEHE organizes orientation sessions with stakeholders and representatives from scholarship departments to provide students with comprehensive information about these authorities and their functions.

Al Ansari mentioned that MoEHE has increased its efforts this year to guide and advise scholarship students. Committees have been established within the scholarship administration to help students who need guidance in choosing the right institution.

She emphasized the importance of students attending these interviews for their own benefit. MoEHE has made accommodations such as online interviews for those living abroad and is committed to addressing any challenges students may face.

Nouf Al Suwaidi, Human Resources Specialist at the Ministry of Finance, praised the initiative of interviewing scholarship students in collaboration with state authorities. She noted that this cooperation helps determine students' interests and plans to achieve their educational goals. Scholarship students at the Ministry of Finance are prioritized for field training, and MoEHE is dedicated to supporting students in overcoming potential problems and achieving their academic and career goals.

Abdulrahman Mohamed Al Shafi, Director of the Cybersecurity Policy Strategies Department at the National Cybersecurity Agency (NCSA), highlighted that NCSA has collaborated with MoEHE to conduct interviews with scholarship students. This aims to familiarize them with NCSA's job vacancies and include them in computing disciplines. NCSA is committed to briefing students on training and career programs during their studies and has launched initiatives to prepare them for the labor market, thereby shortening the career training process.

The participating authorities in these interviews represent sectors in critical need of qualified national cadres in fields such as education, medicine, nursing, engineering, and technology. This initiative supports development plans and workforce planning in both the public and private sectors.
