Ministry of Commerce and Industry Launches Qatar Business Map Portal

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the launch of the "Qatar Business Map" portal, on its website, affirming that this step comes within the framework of its commitment to consolidating the principle of transparency and enhancing the efficiency of its services, and in line with the requirements of Law No. (1) of 2020 regarding the Unified Economic Register and with the requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Qatar Business Map Portal provides a wide database for users, allowing them to view the investment advantages of the various regions of the country by providing a search service for commercial establishments located in a specific area, and reviewing the various available commercial activities and the most commonly used commercial activities, in addition to providing statistical data on the number of commercial licenses registered in each municipality, new and canceled commercial licenses, and the latest commercial establishments registered in the country.

On the other hand, the ministry revealed the launch of a service to verify commercial records data for the concerned authorities. This initiative comes within the framework of its keenness to develop procedures for providing its services to the business and investment sector which leads to the improvement of international indicators of business performance in the country, as well as facilitating periodic audits and inspections of commercial companies and ensuring the validity of their data.
