HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has stressed the importance of intensifying field patrols in natural reserves and meadows to monitor compliance with approved environmental regulations, especially during weekends, in order to reduce environmental violations and ensure their protection.

This came during an inspection visit by HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to several meadows within the Al Reem Reserve, including Rawdat Al Nuaman, Al Ham, Al Heem, and Umm Al Maa, as well as the Ashirj Reserve, as part of monitoring the conditions of these meadows and assessing their environmental status.

During the tour, His Excellency was briefed on the level of vegetation growth in the meadow and the extent to which it is affected by the rainy season.

He also followed up on the environmental rehabilitation work and the efforts made to preserve the soil and wild plants, in addition to listening to an explanation from specialists about the procedures followed to protect the meadow, and the environmental awareness programs aimed at ensuring its sustainability and preserving its biodiversity.
