Meta Unveils Mini AI-Powered Device "Meta Charm"

Meta has unveiled a small handheld device called "Meta Charm," powered by its new AI agent Muse, as part of the company's expanding push into AI-powered devices.

About the size of an Apple AirPods case, the device features a roughly two-inch touch screen and built-in fifth-generation (5G) network connectivity.

Meta announced during its annual Meta Connect event in Menlo Park, California, that the device is set to begin shipping this December, though the company did not disclose pricing.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg explained that the device brings the Muse experience — including its audio and visual iconography — into a compact form factor that can be attached to a keychain, keeping it always available for interaction.

During the event, Meta also showcased its first virtual reality device with a slim, glasses-like design, alongside a pair of smart glasses built without cameras — a response to growing privacy concerns surrounding AI-powered devices capable of recording video and taking photos.
