Mask
Shortly after the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that masks are not mandatory in schools and kindergartens from Thursday.
As per the Cabinet decision, the latest round of COVID-19 relaxations will be implemented on September 1, when masks will not be mandatory in closed spaces, except for in public transport and health facilities.
Based on the decision announced today by the Cabinet, the Ministry said that students, teachers and administrators, in all kindergartens, as well as public and private schools, are no longer required to wear masks inside the campus/classrooms.
However, all public-facing employees working in enclosed places must wear masks during their work hours.
