Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport (HIA) seized a number of narcotic substances found in a passenger's bag.
Upon suspicion, a customs inspector searched a passenger's bag wherein several narcotics were found. The bag contained 10 pills of narcotic marijuana mixed inside a packet of chewing gum, as well as six smoking heads with 189.40g of marijuana.
It further stated that more contraband were found in another bag, which contained 4 electronic cigarettes stuffed with marijuana. Authorities also seized 93 narcotic pills and 60 liquid capsules of narcotic pills.
A seizure report was issued and necessary measures were taken, added the authorities.
Customs department has been warning against bringing illegal goods into the country. They are equipped with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
