Lusail University will offer 20 bachelor's and master's programs for the 2024-25 academic year, according to the university's president, Prof. Nizam Hindi.
In an interview with Qatar News Agency (QNA), Prof. Hindi highlighted that since its inception, the university has successfully introduced contemporary academic disciplines, including 15 BA and five MA programs.
The BA programs are distributed across four colleges: Education and Arts, Commerce and Business, Law, and Information Technology. The MA programs include Digital Marketing, International Affairs and Public Policy (in collaboration with the UN Office on Drugs and Crime), Applied Linguistics and Teaching English to Non-Native Speakers, Criminal Justice (in collaboration with the UN Institute for Training and Research), and International Law (in collaboration with the French University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne).
Prof. Hindi mentioned that students have commenced their new academic year after completing their orientation last week. He also noted that the university has welcomed a new cohort of faculty members across all specializations, emphasizing the institution's commitment to attracting top talent and maintaining high academic standards.
Additionally, he remarked that the new academic year continues the university's past achievements in education, research, institutional development, and infrastructure. This includes the opening of a new building for male students to accommodate the growing student body and the ongoing expansion of partnerships with the local community and higher education institutions both in Qatar and internationally.
