The Local Organising Committee for Football Events (LOC) has confirmed the dates of National Teams matches, including Lebanon v Yemen AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifier on 4 June at Grand Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar.

Lebanon have been forced to host their home match on neutral soil in Doha, where they take on Yemen's Al-Yaman as-Sa'eed in this pivotal game which is staged by the LOC and the Lebanese Football Association (LFA). Originally planned for 31 March 2026 from Beirut.

On 9 October 2025, Lebanon defeated Bhutan 2-0 at Grand Hamad Stadium in their second AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifying match. On November 26, 2025, an unprecedented FIFA Arab Cup Qualifier match against Comoros ended in a remarkable 4-4 tie at the venue.

Lebanon will take on Yemen for the second time as both sides resume their AFC Asian Cup 2027 qualifying campaign after the first encounter ended in a goalless draw on 10 June 2025. And on 4 June, both nations will compete for the final spot from Group E at the tournament, where South Korea, focus of qualification, Arab Emirates and Vietnam will be waiting.

The AFC Asian Cup™ 2027 will be the 19th edition of the AFC Asian Cup™ and is scheduled to be hosted by Saudi Arabia from 7 January–5 February 2027. Lebanon made three appearances in the competition, as hosts in 2000 and qualifying for 2019 and at AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™. 2019 also saw Yemen play for the first time at the continental championship.

The match between Lebanon and Yemen is one of several notable international fixtures Qatar has hosted in recent years, evidence that the international footballing community trusts Qatari authorities to deliver high quality sporting events.

Grand Hamad Stadium has a capacity of 13,000 which has been home to various international fixtures including FIFA World Cup qualification matches. The venue also was the training base of the Brazil National Team at FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, and is currently home ground of Qatari club Al-Arabi SC.
