FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Pakistanis volunteers
Pakistanis have been picked in large numbers to serve as volunteers for the FIFA World Cup 2022, which will take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18.
Two Pakistani volunteers, Areeba Faisal and Ali Shan, are among the fortunate individuals who will take part in the world's biggest athletic event following the Olympics in addition to Pakistani volunteers living in Qatar. The crew unveiled the volunteer uniform at the recent volunteer orientation event held at Lusail Stadium including Areeba and Ali.
Around 25,000 volunteers will be working to make the event a success, including 20,000 locals and 5,000 foreigners.
Pakistani volunteers Fahad Ismail, Qaisar Anwar, Kamran Khan, Ali Raza, Ali Shan, Naveed Tahirkhaili, Raheel Habeeb, Aijaz Ahmed, Faisal Humayun, Ahmed Irshad, Abdul Basit, Sheraz, Zeeshan, Rana Anwar, Ali Jawad, Hassan Ali, Amer Abbasi, Khalid Khanan, Ateeq Urrasheed, Idress Ismail, Abdullah, Amjad Akbar, Rana Kashif and others supported the recruitment process of volunteers at Doha Exhibition Centre(DEC) from May to August 2022.
During the recruitment process, more than 500,000 people applied to volunteer and more than 60,000 were interviewed during the recruitment process, remarked Fahad Ismail.
