Israeli Occupation Authorities Create New Settlement in West Bank

West Bank

Ramallah, August 31: Israeli occupation authorities established a new settlement named "Noa" on Monday, situated south of the Ganim and Kadim settlements on Palestinian land southeast of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.

Ceremony Attended by Israeli Officials

According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the settlement's establishment ceremony was attended by several Israeli officials, a move seen as reflecting growing official Israeli backing for settlement expansion across the occupied Palestinian territories.

Part of Broader Settlement Push in Northern West Bank

The development comes amid an intensifying Israeli settlement drive in the northern West Bank, particularly in areas where settlements had previously been dismantled in 2005 under Israel's so-called "disengagement" plan.

In recent months, the region has seen a rise in the establishment of settler outposts, alongside expanded land-leveling operations, land clearance, and the seizure of Palestinian-owned land.
