Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) opens recruitment for Qatari citizens

The Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has announced the opening of recruitment for Qatari citizens who wish to join its ranks across a range of security and field specializations. The recruitment drive was officially announced on 2 August 2026 and offers opportunities for eligible nationals to serve in key security roles.

Available Specializations

Successful applicants can join one of the following units:

• Riot Control

• Explosives

• Counter-Terrorism

• Search and Rescue

• Convoys and Patrols

• Rapid Intervention

• Environmental Security

• VIP Protection

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Be a Qatari citizen

• Hold a high school diploma or lower qualification

• Be between 18 and 25 years of age

• Not be employed by a governmental or semi-governmental entity

• Successfully pass the personal interview

• Have good conduct and behavior

• Not have been dismissed from military service for disciplinary reasons

• Have no previous convictions involving dishonesty or misconduct
