Doha: Qatar Airways said in statement that their team is working round the clock to manage the increase in demand for quarantine rooms as no home quarantine is permitted for people coming from red countries. They also said that 50,000 refunds were processed to date and 310,000 people complete has quarantined in 65 hotels till date.
“We are aware of the increased demand for quarantine rooms as restrictions evolve with no home quarantine permitted from red countries. Our teams are working around the clock to ensure the continued safety of Qatar and its residents.
We have processed over 50,000 refunds to date and continue to facilitate further requests, we appreciate the patience of our customers as it can take up to 60 days to process refunds.
To date, Discover Qatar assisted over 310,000 people to complete quarantine in 65 hotels and served 5 million meals. Over 240 employees are dedicated to welcoming those returning to Qatar as we support the Ministry of Public Health to protect the local community from COVID-19.
It has been a huge undertaking to set up an effective and efficient hotel quarantine system that is a model for many other countries.
The refund team are working diligently to ensure all refunds are processed promptly within the 60 days of your request and we appreciate your patience during this time.
