Prioritising Worker Well-Being
In the workplace, Qatar is championing a culture of psychological safety with equal conviction. Marking the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), organized a virtual event focusing on mental health in the workplace, highlighting the growing recognition that psychological well-being is essential for sustainable productivity.
Qatar's government and its institutions continue to emphasize that ensuring occupational safety is a shared responsibility, with ministries, private sector entities, and semi-government organizations encouraged to place worker protection at the forefront of operational priorities.
Improving workplace environments benefits both employees and employers by enhancing productivity, strengthening institutional performance, and supporting sustainable economic growth. Alongside this, CPD-certified Mental Health First Response training programmes are now equipping teams across Qatar's diverse workforce with culturally sensitive tools to support colleagues in crisis.
