On November 12, 2024, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Amiri Order No. (02) of 2024, announcing a restructuring of Qatar’s Council of Ministers with several high-level appointments.
The order, effective immediately, introduces new leadership across various ministries to drive forward national development initiatives.
The appointments are as follows:
1. HE Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al-Thani as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs.
2. HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi as Minister of Social Development and Family.
3. HE Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater as Minister of Education and Higher Education.
4. HE Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud as Minister of Public Health.
5. HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani as Minister of Commerce and Industry.
6. HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani as Minister of Transport.
This restructuring reflects HH Amir’s vision to strengthen governance and enhance Qatar’s focus on public welfare, education, health, commerce, and defense. The new ministers bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their respective fields, poised to further the nation’s progress and strategic goals.
