With the crash of a Qatari Armed Forces helicopter in its territorial waters whilst performing their national duty, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar has offered prayers for the martyrs of the nation. The prayer was performed after today's Maghrib prayer at Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque in Doha.
Among those who performed the prayer were: His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of the Amir; and Their Excellencies the following: Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, Jassim bin Khalifa Al Thani and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Also attending the prayer were His Excellency Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council; a number of their excellencies the sheikhs and ministers; his excellency Dr. Mustafa Goksu, ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the State of Qatar; senior officers and members of Qatari Armed Forces and joint Qatari Turkish forces, in addition to a large crowd citizens and residents.
His Highness the Amir joined in the funeral procession with the martyrs’ families, and expressed condolences to their relatives, praying for God Almighty's mercy on the martyrs, to dwell them in Paradise and grant their families patience and solace.
