H.E. Sheikh Joaan nominated as President of Olympic Council of Asia for 2027-2035 term

H.E. Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani has been nominated for OCA Presidency (2027–2035 term) by 27 National Olympic Committees (NOCs), according to the latest announcement from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

The nominations were formally ratified on 30 June 2026 and demonstrated the high expectations for Sheikh Joaan's leadership and vision for the future of Asian sport.

No Other Presidential Nominations Received

Nomination submissions by the OCA's 45 member National Olympic Committees closed at 5:00 PM (Kuwait time) on June 30, 2026.
