The Gulf Creativity Forum kicked off at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena at Al Sadd Sports Club in Doha on Sunday.
The event, organized by Doha Girls Center in collaboration with the Youth Organ of Al Sadd Sports Club, is held under the mantra of Gulf energies and creative prospects, in pursuit of promoting the spirit of joint Gulf belonging.
Participating in this forum are a variety of young men and women from the GCC states, aiming to strengthen innovation and highlight the role of Gulf youth as powerful partners in societal development.
Sheikha Hussein, Director of the Doha Girls Center, said this forum represents a platform that assembles Gulf young energies in a shared creative space that demonstrates the spirit of collaboration among the peoples of GCC nations.
The center, Hussein added, acknowledges that true investment starts from people, as young people are the core pillar of development who chart the future.
She underscored that the center has long held that providing outstanding programs and forums matters most in promoting innovation, honing skills, elevating learning, and sharing knowledge and inspiring experiences to new heights.
The forum stands as a space for conversation to showcase young initiatives as an opportunity for sharing successful expertise, Hussein noted, emphasizing that it would foster the shared Gulf identity, as well as values of cooperation, giving, and societal responsibility.
In this respect, the official confirmed that she is grateful for the prominent models of these young creatives in a variety of fields, which clearly underscore that they truly possess ambition and capabilities and are willing to actively engage in the path toward advancement.
She thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports for its unwavering support of youth initiatives and programs.
ย Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Head of the Youth Organ at Al Sadd Sports Club, Maryam Al Yousef, said this hosting is intended to support youth initiatives, foster youth projects, as well as consolidate communication and the sharing of expertise among innovators from GCC nations.
The forum, she added, has been a rich platform to showcase inspiring youth experiences, including six initiatives and six projects from GCC nations, which together demonstrate promising young energies and creative perspectives capable of making a positive impact on Gulf societies.
Al Yousef further noted that the Youth Department at Al Sadd Club is set to launch its summer program from July 4 until mid-August, within a vision aimed at delivering high-quality programs that combine knowledge, skills, and meaningful recreation.
She highlighted that the program primarily targets the 15-39 age group, with several activities also dedicated to younger age categories.
Al Yousef added that the summer program includes a broad range of activities in partnership with several national stakeholders, including awareness workshops on community security, traffic safety awareness, cybercrime prevention, and civil defense, alongside programs in leadership and event management, sports activities, and Muay Thai training.
This is in addition to field visits to several cultural, scientific, and youth institutions, along with marksmanship programs that help develop youth skills and enhance awareness, she highlighted.
The forum featured a theatrical performance titled "When Dreams Spoke," which addressed youth and community issues in a creative format, reflecting the forumโs message and objectives of enhancing awareness and strengthening community engagement.
The forum also featured a dialogue session on "How Do We Create a Shared Gulf Impact", featuring Maha Al Jassim, Chief Executive Officer and Founding Member of the Qimam Initiative, and Al Shayma Al Awadi, a participant and Vice President of the Bunyan Social Service Club.
ย The session covered a range of topics related to the role of young people in development, Gulf identity, creativity and impact-making, and youth-led initiatives, alongside a presentation of the "Rafeeq Al Noor" initiative, while also allowing space for participants to exchange perspectives and expertise.
The activities also included field tours across a series of interactive zones, including a Youth Initiatives pavilion showcasing innovative projects and ideas presented by participating teams, as well as the "Inspired by the Gulf" zone, which featured artistic and craft works, live painting, musical performances, Arabic calligraphy, and photography.
