Four detained in Qatar for promoting hatred and discord

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials have arrested four individuals and referred them to the Public Prosecution for inciting hatred and spreading discord within the community.

In a statement, the MoI announced that this action was in response to content circulated on a social media platform. The Ministry emphasized its zero-tolerance policy towards anyone proven to be involved in inciting sedition, hatred, racism, or actions that threaten the social fabric, security, and stability of the country.

The Ministry also cautioned against the misuse of social media, highlighting the importance of respecting all segments of society and maintaining unity. It stressed that the stability and cohesion of Qatari society is a collective responsibility.
