Father Amir Funeral Prayer Held Today After Maghrib Prayer

The Amiri Diwan has confirmed that the funeral prayer for the late Father Amir, HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, will be held on Sunday, July 12, following Maghrib prayer, at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque. His body was subsequently laid to rest at Lusail Cemetery, in accordance with Islamic tradition.

In a further statement, the Amiri Diwan announced that HH the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will receive condolences from visiting heads of state, members of the Ruling Family, dignitaries, and citizens at Lusail Palace over the coming days.

Mourners will be received according to the following schedule: morning sessions on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, July 13, 14, and 15, from 8:00 am to 11:30 am, and evening sessions from Asr prayer until Isha prayer.
