Dubai-UAE: The world’s largest gold bar weighing over 300 kilograms recently went on display in Dubai, cementing the Emirate’s reputation as a global hub for gold and precious metals.
The previous record was held by a 250-kilogram gold bar exhibited at the Toi Gold Mine theme park in Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, according to Kyodo News. The gold bar was smelted by the park operator's parent company in 2005.
The Guinness World Record-breaking achievement in Dubai has been minted by Essa Al Falasi’s Emirates Minting Factory and was recently displayed to the public at Dubai Gold Souk Extension, considered the Emirate’s ultimate destination for exquisite gold and fine jewellery.
Visitors to the event were mesmerized by this golden opportunity to get up close to this record-breaking gold bar, exhibited outside the Emirates Minting Factory shop at the venue. Enthusiastic visitors also took pictures alongside the piece of craftsmanship.
